My marketing department just sent me a copy of the catalog that they send to book stores so they can order the new releases ahead of time. And they wrote some wonderful words about my book, putting a smile on my face. But it’s not something you can see unless you have the magazine.
So I thought I’d share the ones that made me super happy.
“An exciting debut sure to please readers of Robin Lee Hatcher, Julie Lessman, and Karen Witemeyer.” –I am these ladies’ readers and a fan. I sure hope my book would please myself as a reader of these ladies!!
“Set in 1876 Kansas, a love story reminiscent of Love Comes Softly meets poignant romance in the style of Deeanne Gist”–Be still my heart, the woman who founded Christian fiction combined with one of my all time favorite authors!
Then they included a snippet of my endorsement from Rosslyn Elliott (who judged my book in a contest a long time ago), I’ll put the full blurb here because when she sent it to me after reading my entire book, it made me want to read my own book!
“Melissa Jagears is a stand-out talent! Her fresh new voice is strong, stylish, and makes A Bride for Keeps a page-turner for anyone who fancies a stirring love story. Vivid description and unforgettable, heart-tugging scenes between hero and heroine transform the ever-popular mail order bride storyline into something much more real and three-dimensional. In this appealing novel, Ms. Jagears demonstrates beyond doubt that the aplomb of the writer determines the quality of the story.”
So if you read those blurbs would you want to read it as bad as I do? (Despite the fact, I’ve already read it so many times I’ve lost count!)
